I am a student of the Most Venerable Sunyanada Dharma (釋德心 禪師), 78th Generation Master, and the 4th Supreme Patriarch of the United Buddhist Church.  .The word "Buddhism" etymologically equates to "Buddha + -ism". Buddha, a word of ancient Indic origins simply means "awake", and thus contrary to popular belief, Buddha is a principle, not a person. The suffix "-ism" of course implies an act, process or practice. Therefore, Buddhism might be understood as the act, process, or practice of awakening. 
My Personal Theology
  1. I hold that an energetic scientific field such as the Higgs field is what we can call "God" and is absolute good, everywhere present- it is the quantum Field of Unlimited Potential we create each moment of our lives- It is Buddha, Form and Formlessness.
  2. I hold that Human beings and all sentient creatures, energies and physical phenomena in the universe exist in the non-dual reality of the Buddha, the Brahman, the SatChitAnanda. 
  3. I hold that we create our experiences by the activity of our thinking. Everything in the manifest realm has its beginning in thought.
  4. I hold that meditation and prayer are creative thinking that heightens the connection with the aforementioned Buddha. 
  5. I hold that intellectually knowing and understanding the laws of life, also called Truth, are not enough- a being must also live the truth that he or she experiences in each waking suspending moment.
  6. I unhold all that I hold.
